One of Kent's biggest food festivals is returning this autumn following a two-year hiatus.

Canterbury Food and Drink Festival is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors, when it takes place in the city's Dane John Gardens across the final weekend in September.

The hotly-anticipated comeback is set to feature more than 100 traders showcasing food, drink and crafts; along with two stages of live music, a kids' area and a festival bar.

In a post on Facebook, organisers say: "From September 23 to 25 the city of Canterbury will once again host the best of local food, drink, produce and performance.

"This is Kent’s biggest food festival, set against the stunning backdrop of the Dane John Gardens showcasing everything to be proud of from the Garden of England, with a smattering of the brightest stars of the modern street food scene from London and beyond.

The last festival, which took place prior to the pandemic in 2019, saw 35,000 visitors descend upon the Dane John Gardens over three days.
