Crash on A28 in Chartham attended by fire and ambulance crews

A woman was left trapped in her car following a three-vehicle crash near Canterbury.

Two fire engines were called to the A28 near the Shalmsford Street junction in Chartham at around 5.05pm.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of a car and free the woman, who was then passed into the care of paramedics.

They were at the scene for around 20 minutes.
