A cyclist was taken to hospital after colliding with a car in a city centre.

Police were called to the accident on Longport in Canterbury near Barton Court School at 7.43am this morning.

The man, in his 40s, was taken to hospital by ambulance crews.

He is understood to have suffered minor injuries.

Congestion had stretched back to St Martin's Hospital while the incident was dealt with but traffic has now cleared.
