A teenager has been killed after being hit by a lorry on the A2 near Canterbury.
The incident happened at around 12.15am on the London-bound section of the A2 at Wincheap.
The slip road from Wincheap onto the A2 was closed while officers carried out an investigation, but the main carriageway has now reopened.
The pedestrian has not been formally identified, but is thought to be a man in his late teens.
He was declared dead at the scene and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash.
In particular, it's believed a British-registered lorry carrying building materials was in the area at the time and the driver may be able to help officers with their enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538.
