Two people cut free from overturned cars in Canterbury area

Fire crews have cut free two people from overturned cars.

A man and a woman were both treated by paramedics following the separate crashes which happened in the Canterbury area.

Firefighters were first called at 9.08pm last night to Station Road in Bekesbourne to the scene of an overturned car.

Crews used cutting equipment to free a woman, who was passed into the care of paramedics.

A man was also rescued after a crash in Canterbury.

Three fire engines were called to Canterbury Road at 4.28am where a car was found on its side.

Crews used cutting equipment - including hydraulic cutters and reciprocating saw - to cut and flap the roof of the car in order to free the man.

He was also passed into the care of paramedics.
