Firefighters were called to deal with an undergrowth blaze in scrubland on the edge of Canterbury.
They used an all-terrain vehicle to get to the 160ft by 160ft seat of the fire in the Old Park after receiving a call at just before 4pm on Thursday.
The Old Park is owned by the Ministry of Defence and occupies an area of land behind the Poets Estate of Sturry Road on one side and Howe Barracks on the other.
As temperatures hit nearly 30 degrees Celsius, crews used hose reel jets and beaters to extinguish the fire.
They left the scene just before 6pm.
The cause of the blaze isn't known and no one was hurt.
