Revellers will be able to order drinks at the touch of a button at a Canterbury nightclub.

Chill, in St George’s Place, has launched its own mobile phone app to allow clubbers to get a round in without having to queue.

The X-press Drinks app will also stop them from having to carry cash by taking payment via a Paypal account or bank card instead.

After ordering from their phone or tablet, their drinks are delivered to their table or private booth – or can be collected from a dedicated area of the bar.

Chill manager John Tierney says: "Queuing for drinks has always been the biggest bugbear for our customers.

"This makes it easier for people to get their favourite drinks delivered to their table without having to get up or pay with cash."

The app, which was highly commended in the Best Business Initiative category of the Publican Awards 2014, is the first app for drinks ordering and promotions.
