Kebab fans will be able to tuck into food from a popular international chain from Monday when it opens a new premises in Kent.
German Doner Kebab - which secured planning permission earlier this year - has taken on the former Game unit, behind the clocktower in the Canterbury high street.
Its arrival in the city has resulted in the creation of 25 jobs.
The new restaurant, which has seating for 50 customers, will open at 11am on Monday, May 17.
It will be the firm’s 57th UK branch, and one of a number opening this year as part of a big expansion.
GDK prides itself on offering "game-changing kebabs", made with beef and chicken fillets imported from Germany.
The chain has branches across the world, and is expanding in a number of areas across the UK.
It has a strong presence in London, but so far has just one other Kent store, in Maidstone.
Golam Rabbi, GDK’s operations manager, said: “We are delighted to be bringing German Doner Kebab to Canterbury.
“We’ve been looking for the perfect site for a while, and the unit on St George’s Street is a great fit for us.”
