Two pupils have been approached outside a school by a man.

The incident happened outside Simon Langton Girls' Grammar School in Canterbury.

An email was sent out to parents this afternoon informing them they had been told a man in a red car approached two pupils outside the Old Dover Road school while they were waiting to be picked up after a club.

The school said pupils do not need to wait outside on the pavement as the school is still open for them to wait inside.

Police have been contacted for more information.
