Dog owner urged to come forward after woman attacked near Thanington, Canterbury

The owner of a dog which attacked a woman as she walked through a rural beauty spot has been urged to come forward.

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Tonford Lane, near Thanington, Canterbury.

The victim was bitten on the hand during the incident on Sunday, April 10, between 5.30pm and 5.50pm.

The dog was described as a large, black poodle-type dog, and its owner was a woman in her late 50s, about 5ft 11ins, with long, blonde hair.

Officers are asking the dog's owner, or anyone with any information, to call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/66921/22.
