A £100 reward has been offered for a Canterbury pensioner's missing car.

The turquoise Audi A3, registration number GD59 DDN, has not been seen since last Tuesday (April 24).

The vehicle's 89-year-old owner, who suffers with medical problems, had taken a drive to buy fish and chips because his cooker had stopped working.

However he abandoned the vehicle when he realised he could not recognise the road he was on, and decided to park and make his way home on foot.

The car is believed to be in a rural location in the Canterbury or Sturry area.

Relatives have since been out searching, but to no avail.

The pensioner's nephew, Philip Deen, said: "I've already driven around the area for eight hours and I can't find it.

"He is very distressed. I feel so sorry for him. If I could buy a new car for him and put it on his drive, I would."
