A comedian is in with a chance of appearing in the live semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent after getting all four yeses from the judges.
Jason Mannion, 49, form Canterbury, who performs under the stage name El Baldiniho, delivered his own brand of 'daft magic' on the show at the London Palladium,
It went down well with David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon - and Ant and Dec - although Simon Cowell was not as impressed.
The former Kent County Council youth worker, who gave up his job to join the comedy circuit nine years ago, told KentOnline was nervous about appearing on the ITV show.
On Saturday night, his performance was screened on sister show Britain's Got More Talent, hosted by Stephen Mulhern.
"It was pretty nerve-wracking and my mouth was dry but I managed to get a laugh with my first gag which put me at ease a bit, " he said.
"I got to meet Simon, David , Alesha and Amanda, Ant and Dec and Stephen Mulhern - they were all friendly and good fun.
"I call my style of comedy, daft magic and I gig all over the place and was actually performing in Shropshire when the recording went out on Saturday. But family and friends were watching, of course, and I later saw it on catch-up.
"David had one small criticism that I might want to speed up the delivery which I will work on because you only get two-and-a-half minutes."
Jason got Simon's vote despite him saying: "To be honest with you, I think if you did that again, you are not going to win the show."
Warrington-born Jason lives with his partner Alison and their two children Jared, 16 and Esme, 14.
"I have about two hours of material but am always working on new stuff which I sometimes try out on the kids around the dinner table, which usually has them rolling their eyes," he said.
"I perform all over the UK on the comedy circuit and am appearing this summer at a number comedy and music festivals with some big name acts. I’m on the bill with the comedian Milton Jones in London this month."
The next stage of the talent show will see the judges choose 40 acts from those picked so far to go through to the live semi-finals.
"I'm keeping my fingers crossed but even if I don't go through, it has been great exposure for me," he said.
