The world's best crazy golfer has added yet another trophy to his collection after winning his 18th major title.

Marc Chapman, from Canterbury, secured top spot at the 2019 World Crazy Golf Championship in Hastings after competing in the weekend-long tournament.

The 33-year-old, who first started playing a little more than a decade ago, now has 18 major minigolf titles to his name.

Marc Chapman also won the world title last year

Finishing on an impressive -17, fencing coach Marc fended off the challenge of 55 other players to take home the coveted world championship for the second time.

"There are no secrets, just lots of hard work testing ideas on how to play each hole," he said.

"But concentration is key - and mine is zen-like from all the years of playing minigolf.

"Minigolf is like sudden-death fencing - one touch, and you're gone.

"You just know that one slip could end it all. At that moment, it becomes do or die.

"You can't afford to lose your cool if you're down on hole five with 18 more to go.

Marc has been toning his skills for years

"I want to keep playing, keep getting better, outdo myself every year until the day I die.

"I'm at the peak of my game - why would I retire now?

"To think I won it for a second time was just a dream come true."

Having bagged £1,000 in prize money, Marc now has his sights set on one day competing for the Las Vegas cup where the winner trousers £200,000.

Practising more than 20 hours a week, he recently forked out £1,000 for new balls in preparation for the tournament on the East Sussex coast two weeks ago.
