A city car sales executive is hoping for a special date when she appears on the popular Take Me Out dating show tonight.
Ayshea Ahern, who is a former Miss Kent and Miss England finalist, is lined up with 29 other girls competing to be picked for the romantic getaway to the island of "Fernando's" - a fictional location based in Tenerife.
The 26-year-old from Bridge, who works for Canterbury Volkswagen, has been single for about 15 months and decided to apply for the hit ITV show which is presented by Paddy McGuiness.
"I thought it would be a bit of fun to go on the show and see what it's like to do TV stuff," said the former St Anselm's and Canterbury College student.
"It was fascinating how they filmed it over about 12 days and great to meet all the other girls and afterwards we had a fun day out at Ascot."
The contestants introduce themselves to the male "date" and try and win his affection with cheeky and witty answers to his questions.
But he gradually eliminates his least favourite until finally choosing his date.
Ayshea, who has done various modelling assignments since becoming a Miss England finalist, says she cannot reveal whether she was chosen.
Her first appearance in the show, which attracts more than five million viewers, is due to be aired on ITV at 7pm.
