Faversham Town Council has its first Labour councillor for 11 years.
There will be some new faces on the council, which is now made up of 13 Conservatives and lone Labour man Trevor Payne.
He will replace Lloyd Hobbard-Mitchell who lost his seat.
The town stuck to its guns with no change to the political makeup of Swale Borough Council’s Faversham seats.
A total of 40.6% of people turned out to vote for their local councillors.
The Conservatives held onto all their seats for the area, as did Liberal Democrat Mike Henderson.
Overall the Borough Council will stay blue.
The council is made up of 32 Conservatives, a loss of one seat, there are now 13 Labour councillors, which is a gain of three seats.
The Swale Lib Dems, matched the national picture and took a bit of a battering with only one councillor left standing for the party, having lost two of their seats.
One independent councillor remains.
