Fears for the welfare of a man sparked a large emergency response outside a railway station.

Police and paramedics were called to Canterbury West after concerns were raised on Saturday night.

Police attended Station Road West, Canterbury on Saturday night

One large police van was pictured on the stretch directly outside the station at about 9pm.

A witness said several police vehicles and an ambulance were also in attendance, close to the Station Road West multi-storey car park.

A spokesman for the force said: “Kent Police officers attended following concern for a man in the St Dunstans area of Canterbury.

“The man was located and taken home.”
