Whitstable lifeboat was launched on Tuesday evening after reports that a youth had walked into the sea at Bishopstone, between Herne Bay and Reculver.

Police and Herne Bay mobile coastguard unit were also called to the scene.

The youth made his way back to the shore where he was interviewed by the police.
