Police looking for witnesses after man knocked unconscious in Old Dover Road, Canterbury

A man was punched in the face and knocked unconscious in an early-morning attack.

The assault happened near Canterbury Fire Station in Old Dover Road at 5.20am on New Year's Day.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old man at the scene who has now been released on bail until Thursday, March 2.
