Canterbury man charged after vehicles stolen from Deal, Hythe and Tunbridge Wells

A man is due in court accused of stealing six motorbikes and a car from across Kent.
Mark Scamp, of Dickens Avenue in Canterbury, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with six counts of theft of a motor vehicle.
The charges relate to motorbikes stolen from Deal on January 11, from Canterbury on March 3, from Hythe on April 13 and 14, and from Tunbridge Wells on April 17.
The 34-year-old is also charged with stealing a car in Hythe on March 18, and with interfering with a motorbike in Canterbury on February 7.
Scamp is also charged with six theft offences, after he allegedly took alcohol from supermarkets in Sandwich and Ashford between January and March.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today, and he was remanded in custody. He did not enter a plea.
He is due to appear again at the same court on Tuesday.
