Chilham man denies sexual assault on child

A man has denied molesting a little girl.

Rowan Baker, of Maidstone Road in Chilham, near Canterbury, appeared at Maidstone Magistrates' Court charged with three counts of sexual assault on a girl under 13 and one count of inciting sexual activity.

His alleged victim was younger than 10-years-old.

He was also charged with making 42 indecent images of a child all of which were category A - the most serious and obscene - along with 60 category C images.

The 22-year-old defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges and will now appear at Maidstone Crown Court for trial on a date to be fixed.

He has been released on bail and ordered not to contact the girl.
