Man in court on money charge

A man charged with producing fake money appeared in court today.
Colin Edgar, 36, of Priory Place in Faversham was arrested on Thursday, after police found equipment capable of producing millions of pounds worth of fake notes.
The 36 year-old went before Folkestone magistrates today, Saturdayt, charged with possessing articles for producing counterfeit notes, money laundering and counterfeiting euros and Sterling.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in court again on Monday, May 24.
A unit on the Woodfalls industrial estate at Yalding, near Maidstone, and a property in Faversham were searched during a joint investigation involving the Bank of England and specialists from the Serious and Organised Crime Agency.
A 37- year-old Faversham woman who was also arrested in connection with the incident has been released on police bail until June 16.
