Man released under investigation after child attacked by dog in Cumberland Avenue, Canterbury

A man has been released under investigation after armed police were called to a dog attack involving a child.
The young boy was airlifted to hospital after suffering injuries to his leg following the incident in Cumberland Avenue, Canterbury.
Armed police were called to the scene, along with paramedics and an air ambulance shortly before 3pm on Sunday.
The child was flown to a London hospital and it has been confirmed by police the boy was receiving treatment to injuries to his leg in hospital.
"The arrested man has been released under investigation while enquiries into the incident continue," a spokesman for the force said.
Police confirmed the dog has not been euthanised but has been removed from the address.
However, they would not confirm what breed the dog is.
The victim is thought to be a nine-year-old boy. Witnesses reported seeing eight police cars and two ambulances, as well as the air ambulance.
One man said the dog involved appeared to be a "big, pit bull type".
