Man suffers head injuries after attack in The Cherry Tree pub in White Horse Lane

A man suffered multiple head injuries after he was attacked by two men in a pub.

The victim, a man in his 30s, had been sitting at a table at The Cherry Tree in White Horse Lane, Canterbury, when the incident happened.

After he was approached by the two men, an argument followed and the victim was assaulted. He sustained multiple injuries to his head.

The incident happened on Wednesday between 11.10pm and 11.30pm.

Following this incident two 18-year-old men, both from Canterbury, were arrested on suspicion of assault and possession with intent to supply.

They have since been released on bail while the investigation continues.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious at the time of the attack.
