Man trapped after serious crash in Chartham, near Canterbury, flown to London hospital by air ambulance

A man was freed from his car by firefighters after a serious three-vehicle crash.

The driver was then taken to hospital by air ambulance following the collision in Cockering Road, Chartham, near Canterbury.

Paramedics, firefighters and police were sent to the scene on Saturday night.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “We were called at 9.35pm on Saturday to Cockering Road, Chartham, near Canterbury, following reports of a collision involving three vehicles.

“Kent Fire and Rescue Service was also called to the scene to assist after one person was reported trapped in their vehicle.

“The man was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance to be treated for his injuries.”
