A man in his 40s has been found dead in the River Stour.

Police were called just after 3pm on Saturday, after a body was found in the river, where it runs near to Vauxhall Avenue in Canterbury.

A man aged in his 40s was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
