Meghan Markle has been baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury, reports say.
Justin Welby, who has almost served five years as the Church of England's most senior bishop, is said to have conducted the service at the Chapel Royal on Tuesday.
The ceremony, which formally introduces the American actress to the Anglican church, comes two months ahead of her marriage to Prince Harry.
Miss Markle, 36, was raised a Protestant and attended a Catholic school as a child. She later married her former husband Trevor Engelson, who is Jewish.
Though she does not need to formally become an Anglican in order to marry the prince, it is believed she wants to do so out of respect for the Queen.
Prince Harry and Ms Markle will wed on May 19 this year at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
The Most Reverent Justin Welby, 62, will marry the couple, it was confirmed last month.
