Motorbike and van smash in Canterbury sparks police response

Police have been scrambled following a smash between a motorbike and a van on an estate.

The collision happened shortly before 2.30pm today in Tenterden Drive, Canterbury.

Kent Highways says emergency services are on the scene, near Green Dell in Hales Place, and warned motorists to “expect delays in the area”.

Traffic information site Inrix says the crash has since been cleared.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a report a motorcyclist had been injured in Tenterden Drive, Canterbury at 2.10pm.”

“Officers attended and assisted at the scene.”

It is understood the biker’s injuries were not serious.
