A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash on a busy route.

The collision happened on the A291 Herne Bay Road in Sturry just before 9.30am this morning.

Police and ambulance services were at the scene, and a woman who was riding a motorcycle was taken to a local hospital.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Crews left the scene at about 11.45am.

Traffic information site Inrix reported heavy traffic in the area at the time, and said the road was blocked southbound.
