A busy route has been closed after a multi-vehicle crash.

Emergency services are at the scene of the incident on A257 Wingham Road in Ickham, near Canterbury.

Police and paramedics were called to the incident between Bramling and Littlebourne shortly before 1pm today.

“A man has reported injuries and is being taken to a local hospital,” a force spokesperson said.

“Work is ongoing to recover the vehicles.”

It is understood two cars and a truck were involved.

Bus operator Stagecoach says its 43 service is being diverted via Adisham Road and the A2 between Wingham and Canterbury.

“Some journeys will divert via Ickham depending on driver knowledge,” the firm posted on X.

“Please ask your driver which diversion he will be taking.”
