Police release CCTV image of two men after attack in Canterbury High Street

Police have released a CCTV image of two men they would like to speak to after a man was attacked and ordered to hand over cash.

Officers are investigating the attempted robbery, which happened in Canterbury's High Street, between the junctions with Best Lane and St Margaret's Street.

It is alleged a man was assaulted by two men at about 8.30pm last Wednesday. The pair also demanded money.

A police spokesman said: "The victim suffered minor facial injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.

"An investigation into the incident is ongoing and officers have released a CCTV image of two men who may be able to assist inquiries."
