The crews were spotted close to Tyler's Kiln pub at about 4.30pm.

Eight fire engines were at the scene at the height of the blaze, but this was reduced throughout the evening and overnight.

A resident said: "Neighbours think the fire started in an outbuilding and spread to a neighbouring property.

"One of the fire engines is parked outside the pub but the fire itself is further down the hill, where there are two or three more engines.
