A Kent plumber has been turning heads by using some particularly eye-catching van signage to plug his firm.

Jamie Parsons, who runs Be Wise across the east of the county, decided to put a smile on people's faces by having the light-hearted design painted on the company's two vehicles.

The image - of the lower half of a man on the loo - makes it look as if the driver has been caught short at the wheel.

Mr Parsons says the quirky signage has left other motorists and his customers flushed with excitement.

"We get lots of beeps and thumbs up, and positive comments," he said.

"The reason I did it was to get more recognised and that has definitely worked, for sure."

Canterbury-based Be Wise operates mostly in the CT postcode area, including Thanet, Folkestone and Dover, but also covers Ashford and Faversham.

Since having the design done, the firm's boss says business has flooded in.

"People were putting it on Facebook pages and sharing it," he added.

"We’ve only got two vans and I’ve done it to both of them.

"It’s just something to put a smile on people’s faces, especially with everything that’s going on. It’s some upbeat humour that helps us stand out."

This is not the first time Mr Parsons has tried to lift spirits.

He did two days of free labour for the elderly during the colder months and his three-man team also dressed as the Mario Brothers to raise money for Teagan Appleby , who suffers from seizures.
