DETECTIVES have released an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl.

The assault occurred at around 11.30pm in Lansdown Road, Canterbury, on Monday, July 31.

The victim was walking home alone after an evening with friends when she became aware of a man walking behind her in Old Dover Road.

The man, thought to be aged between 20 and 30, engaged her in conversation and walked with her into nearby Nunnery Fields where he grabbed her and pulled her into a lane off Lansdown Road where the assault happened.

Anyone who recognises the e-fit or has any information is asked to contact Det Sgt Shelley Chantler or PC Alison Male on 01227 868120.
