Police are hunting a man with greasy hair following an attempted burglary at a house in Canterbury.

Officers were alerted to an incident in Westerham Close when a woman found some of her belongings - including a bicycle and clothes - had been collected together and piled up outside by the rear gate.

No items were reported missing following the incident, but police have now released a digital image of a man they would like to identify.

Police have released this E-fit of a man they want to speak to about an attempted burglary.

A man, described as between 20 and 30 years old with a pale complexion, was seen leaving the premises.

He had blonde greasy hair and a bright green jacket.

The incident happened at about 7am on Tuesday, August 2.

Detective Constable Rebecca Mross said: "Following lines of inquiry into the incident, witnesses have recently come forward to help create a digital image of the man we would like to speak to.

"We would ask anyone who recognises the man pictured, or who might have been in the area at the time, to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/26518/16."

Alternatively, contact Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
