Police released e-fit after woman punched by River Stour in Kingsmead, Canterbury

Police have released an image of a suspect after a woman was attacked on a riverside path early this morning.
A woman was reportedly punched by a stranger as she walked in Kingsmead Road area of Canterbury, by the River Stour, at about 6.30am today.

Patrol cars were seen parked up in Westwood Drive, Canterbury, and officers cordoned off a section of pathway that runs along the river, behind Kingsmead Playing Field.
Police have now released a computer-generated image of the suspect.
The suspect is described as being mixed race and about 6ft tall, with a slim build, and aged between 25 and 30.
At the time of the attack, he was wearing white trainers, a white tracksuit top with blue panelling, and white tracksuit bottoms with white socks tucked into the trousers.
He reportedly fled the scene after a man came to the woman’s aid.
No serious injuries have been reported at present.
Officers would like to speak to the man who came to the woman’s assistance and anyone else who may have information.
They would also like to speak with anyone who may have been walking on the path besides the Stour between 6am and 7am today or motorists who may have captured a man matching the description provided on their dashboard cameras.
