The future of youth clubs across the district continues to come under the spotlight.
A three-month consultation being led by Kent County Council into the future of their centres has a month left to run.
The county council is proposing to save £1 million by closing 12 youth centres and 27 youth projects across Kent.
The authority is seeking to create 12 regional "hubs", one in each of the county's districts, for young people to access.
Fears that vital centres in Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham and Aylesham could be among those to go have been raised by both parents and children.
This Saturday, staff and youngsters will march from Whitstable youth centre and through the town to show their opposition to the planned closures.
Last week, youngsters who use the Faversham centre in South Road took their concerns to the town’s local engagement forum.
KCC Cabinet member for Customer and Community Services Mike Hill stressed no decisions have been made about any youth centre.
He said: "We are carrying out a wide-ranging consultation, until 29 October, with the public, young people and staff to ask their views on the proposals before any formal decisions are taken.
"We would urge people to make sure they give us their views via the consultation so their comments can be formally recorded.
"We are proposing to change the way we deliver services to young people so that we can continue to provide a first class service, despite the severe financial pressures we all face.
"This does not mean we expect young people to travel long distances to a ‘hub’ centre.
"It's our intention that youth activities will still be available in local areas; whether they are based in an existing centre, a new location such as a school or delivered by going to the places where young people meet.
"Many of these services will be commissioned from the voluntary sector and there will also be an opportunity for voluntary groups and individuals to run the activities themselves."
