Roman Road in Canterbury reopens following serious crash

A road in Canterbury has reopened after a serious crash involving a car and a pedestrian.

Roman Road was shut in both directions between The Old Gate Inn at the Park and Ride roundabout, and the A2 junction for Canterbury East / Bridge.

The road has been closed since just before 2am.

Police and paramedics were called at around 1.50am.

KCC Highways were at the scene earlier this morning and the road was closed for approximately seven hours. Inquiries into the incident continue.
