Appeal after bronze Desmond Fountain sculpture worth £42,000 stolen from garden in Preston near Canterbury

A valuable bronze water feature by an acclaimed sculptor has been stolen from a garden in Preston near Canterbury.

The £42,000 sculpture is of a little girl holding a bucket over her head and is 5ft tall.

It was created by internationally-renowned artist Desmond Fountain, who has previously sculpted the likes of Margaret Thatcher and Mark Twain.

The missing sculpture, which bears Mr Fountain's signature on the base, is thought to have been taken between midnight on Sunday, April 13 and 2.30pm on Tuesday, April 15.
