Six fire engines called to barn fire near Canterbury

Fire crews have been tackling a barn fire overnight.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to a blaze at an agricultural barn in North Stream Marshside, near Canterbury.

Six fire engines, a height vehicle and a bulk water carrier attended the scene at around 11:30pm, last night.

Crews used four hose reel jets, compressed air foam and water drawn form a pond nearby.

Three fire engines remained on the scene just after 2am, later reducing to one at around 5:30am.

There were no casualties and the cause is unknown.
