Whitstable woman arrested after man stabbed in Badgers Close, Blean, Canterbury, released

A woman arrested after a man was stabbed in Blean has been released from custody.

The 50-year-old, from Whitstable, was held on suspicion of assault following the alleged attack in Chapel Lane.

Police and ambulance crews were called to nearby Badgers Close at about 1.45pm on Thursday, where they found a man "with injuries consistent with a stabbing".

He was taken to a London hospital, where he remains. Police say his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The suspect, who is believed to know the alleged victim, has since been released from custody while the investigation continues.
