A man has been arrested following an arson attack at a house in Canterbury Road, Herne Bay.

He was arrested around 5am on Friday following the outbreak of fire in the lounge and bedroom of a flat.

No one was injured in the incident and inquiries are ongoing.

The 22-year-old man is in custody at Canterbury police station.
