TWO thugs attacked a cabbie and stole his taxi when he refused to take them to Aylesham, near Canterbury.

The driver had picked them up in the city late at night in his Skoda Octavia.

When the pair, who are both aged about 25, became aggressive the driver stopped outside the White Horse pub in Bridge and ordered them out of the cab. He got out of the car and opened the rear passenger door, but was punched in the face by the man in the back.

The other man slid into the driver's seat and drove off towards Patrixbourne. His friend stopped scuffling with the driver and ran off towards Western Avenue.

The incident happened just before 11pm last Friday. The Skoda was found in Adisham on Saturday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call PC Jon Sargent on 01227 762055.
