Posting on the pub's Facebook page, they say: "The sign has gone up and we can now make it official that we are indeed selling up.

"We will be sad to say goodbye, but this move is filled with lots of happy memories and some lifetime friends who have become family forever.

"We made this decision last year to make this choice for a number of reasons, but mainly because we've enjoyed the freedom of having family time - even in a lockdown.

"We'd love to take this opportunity to say thank you all, to all of you for the support you have given us over the 14 years we have been here. You've also helped raise over £15,000 for different charities over the years from Frogfest's and charity days we have held for people."

The pub, which sits on a 1.11 acre site, is being auctioned on Feb 10 with a guide price of between £450,000 and £500,000.

Auctioneers Clive Emson says it may be suitable for a scheme for residential development, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.

There is a u-shaped bar area, seating area commercial kitchen, utility area and toilets on the ground floor

On the first floor are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and two bedrooms with en-suites to be finished.

The site also accommodates a second building, known as the Old Barn, which has two bedroom living accommodation.
