A Wetherspoons has had to scale back its food menu due to technical problems.

The Thomas Ingoldsby pub in Burgate, Canterbury, is currently only able to serve a limited menu after discovering an issue with its gas supply.

Although pizzas, salads, jacket potatoes and a selection of other dishes can still be ordered, no fried foods - including chips - are available.

The bar is open as normal and engineer is due to be attending the site today.

The pub hopes to be serving its full menu again later today

A Wetherspoons spokesman said it is hoped that the busy city centre pub's kitchen will be back up and running and serving its full menu by this evening.

He said: "There's an engineer working on it as we speak, and we hope to have everything cleared up by 6pm."
