Terminally-ill Herne Bay mother Kayleigh Duff is making the most of the sun in Florida.
The brave cancer sufferer, 23, has been uploading several photos and videos from her trip to Disney World on Facebook.
The holiday has been paid for by friends and fundraisers, touched by her wish to give two-year-old son Kai some happy memories of his time with his mother.
So far, the trip has lived up to all expectations, with photos showing former Spires Academy pupil Kayleigh and family enjoying their luxury villa and days out to Disney’s various parks.
Kai has got to meet many of his cartoon heroes, including favourites Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story.
Kayleigh and Kai flew out on Sunday, June 2 with her mother Beverley Cox, 46, sister Jade, 25, and her son Harley, three.
From her villa, Kayleigh, of Wye Green, said: “It’s really nice out here. We’ve had some lovely weather.
“We’ve been to a few of the parks and met a lot of characters.
“The best bit so far was today, going to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s all 3D shows and film sets, which are really good and Kai met Buzz and Woody, which he loved.
“I hope he is getting lots of memories. We have filmed a lot of the holiday so he has got a lot to look back at for the future.”
When she returns from her holiday, Kayleigh is set to begin a new chemotherapy treatment recommended after consultation with specialists at the Royal Marsden hospital in London.
She suffers from liver cancer, brought on by a rare gene defect which also killed her father, Lee, aged 37.
