Whitstable Town manager Peter Nott is planning changes for the trip to Worthing on Saturday and demanding a response from his squad after successive home Ryman League defeats dumped the club firmly back into the Division 1 South relegation dogfight.

Nott (pictured) kept his players in the changing room for around 20 minutes after Tuesday's 4-3 defeat against fellow strugglers Whyteleafe at The Belmont.

The result - which came on the back of Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to Whitehawk - left Town in the bottom four, just six points clear of next-to-bottom Corinthian Casuals, who have played two games less.

Nott said: "I am looking for a big reaction, the players know how unhappy I was and it was a frank and at times heated conversation.

"Some people have become too complacent because the side was picking itself and it’s time to reshuffle the pack.

"I told them I will be questioning their character and determination because we have a tough run-in, every game will be a battle."

Dan Wisker and Michael Yianni look certain starters in Sussex on Saturday. James Peacock is set to switch from midfield to centre-half while Adam Douglas and Louis Smith will also be involved.

Do you think Whitstable will give the 'big reaction' Peter Nott is looking for when they face Worthing on Saturday?
