Woman driver killed in 4-car pile-up

A 41-year-old woman died after her car was involved in a crash involving four vehicles.

The tragedy happend at around 8.15pm on Wednesday in Hollow Lane, Canterbury.

The woman who died was at the wheel of a Toyota Starlet. Two Honda Civics driven by men aged 18 and 19, and a BMW 381i driven by a 24-year-old woman, were also involved in the collision.

All the drivers involved are believed to have been from the Canterbury area. The fatally injured driver has yet to be formally identified.

Police officers re-opened Hollow Lane at just after 3am. Officers from the Serious Crash Investigation Unit are undertaking an inquiry into the collision.
