Woman struck by car at pedestrian crossing outside Canterbury police station

A teenager has been hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing.

The 19-year-old was knocked down outside Canterbury police station in Old Dover Road at about 10am.

Fire and ambulances crews were called to the scene, sparking queues of traffic in the area.

A road closure was in place until about 10.40am.

The teenager has been taken to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital.
