Canterbury: Police release CCTV image following alleged robbery on footpath near River Stour and Kingsmead

A woman in her 40s needed hospital treatment following an alleged robbery on a footpath near the River Stour.

She suffered cuts and bruises after reportedly being approached by two people demanding money and was assaulted after refusing to comply.

The other victim, a man in his 30s, went with the suspects to a cashpoint and gave over a quantity of cash after the alleged assault.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.

It is reported to have taken place between 11.30pm on Saturday, July 16, and 12.15am the following morning, near Kingsmead Leisure Centre.
