Emergency services are at the scene of a car crash on a busy route on the outskirts of the city.

Two vehicles collided on the A28 at Wincheap, Canterbury, leading to police, paramedics and firefighters being called to the location.

It happened at 2.15pm today near where the A2 slip road meets the A28 by the bridge and resulted in a woman, who was travelling in one of the vehicles, being taken to hospital for treatment.

One lane of the road is currently closed causing tailbacks while the vehicles are recovered.
